Health o meter® Professional Scales provides seamless connectivity solutions for transmitting weight, height, and BMI measurements to vital signs monitors, PCs, and EMR systems. This automated data transfer minimizes transcription errors and is the quickest and simplest method to record patient information. Device connectivity enhances healthcare facility workflow efficiency, patient safety, and EMR compliance.

Our “BT” model scales include wireless connectivity and a wireless USB Dongle for transmitting data to Welch Allyn devices such as Connex Spot Monitors, Connex Vital Signs 6000 Series, and Connex Integrated Wall Systems.

Health o meter® Professional scales can communicate with over 50+ EMR systems via validated connections with our device and EMR partners. Connections through peripheral devices, such as a vital signs monitor, allow for the automatic transmission of data, reducing the risk of transcription errors and providing a simpler way to interface with a facility’s EMR system. These auxiliary connections operate with the minimum number of system-wide network interconnections and without the need for dedicated access points for each device. Our open-architecture, non-propriety connectivity solutions are designed for universal integration with any device or EMR company that would like to establish direct interfaces between our scales and their systems.

Health o meter® Professional Scales offers wired and wireless options for our digital scales to interface directly with the Connex Vital Signs Monitor 6000 Series (including the Connex IWS) and the Connex Spot Monitor.* These connectivity solutions allow the transfer of weight, height, and BMI measurements from a Health o meter® Professional digital scale to a Welch Allyn Device. From the Welch Allyn device, the data can be displayed, saved, and transferred into EMR systems.** Our BTKIT-01 solution or “BT” model scales are the market’s only wireless system for Welch Allyn products that is also compatible with the hundreds of thousands of Health o meter® Professional scales already in use; there is no need to purchase new scales to take advantage of the scale’s wireless capabilities. If purchased as a “BT” model scale, all required hardware to transmit data to a Welch Allyn device is included.

These advanced connectivity solutions enable effortless transfer of weight, height, and BMI from a Health o meter® Professional digital scale to an EdanUSA by MDPro® device. Once the data reaches the monitor, it can be conveniently displayed, reviewed, and smoothly transferred into EMR systems.

Health o meter® Professional stands out in the market as the only wireless scale manufacturer currently integrated with EdanUSA by MDPro® products. If you opt for our BTKIT-03 and scale, rest assured that all the necessary hardware required to transmit data to an EdanUSA by MDPro® device is included.

Health o meter® Professional’s EMR Connectivity Application provides seamless communication between Allscripts TouchWorks® and Professional™ systems and Health o meter® Professional digital scales. With this application, the Allscripts EMR system automatically receives the weight measurement from the scale, including height and Body Mass Index (BMI) if available, then data are saved to the patient’s health record. Wireless connections from the scale to the PC are available via our BTKIT-03 solution or with “BT” model scales. To initiate the connection to Allscripts systems, click the link below to download the Allscripts App. Follow the installation instructions included with the download. To complete installation, Allscripts must activate the app within the user’s account to allow for interface between the scale and the Allscripts system on the user’s PC.

Health o meter® Professional digital scales can interface with Midmark IQmanager to transmit weight data directly into the system. Wireless connections from the scale to the PC are available via our BTKIT-03 solution or with “BT” model scales. Connecting the scale and Midmark IQ Manager requires that the user’s PC has IQ Manager software installed.

Select Health o meter® Professional scales can directly interface with MedicalMine’s ChARM Health platform. Users implementing this direct interface will have weight, height and BMI data (where available) populate the ChARM Health system automatically. The data can then be saved into the patient’s health record, eliminating the risks associated with manual data entry and improving the workflow for clinical staff. ChARM Health users should contact their ChARM Health account manager to set up the service.*

*ChARM Health is compatible with 500KL scales with a date code of 19 or lower. For assistance with compatible scales, contact Customer Service at 800-815-6615.

Health o meter^® Professional digital scales can directly interface with Schiller Americas’ DS20 diagnostic station via wireless kit BTKIT-03. Integrating these devices allows for the automatic transmission of weight, height, and BMI measurements to the spot station. Collecting patient information on the DS20 station helps practitioners efficiently and accurately transfer data into an EMR or HIS.

Health o meter® Professional Scales supports customers who wish to develop interfaces to their EMR and other computer systems. The link below includes all the information needed for a developer to interface the scale’s output, including:

*Spot Vital Signs LXi: Only accept and display weight;height must be entered manually on the LXi. BMI is calculated but is only displayed on the review screen, not on the main screen. Note: Spot LXi accepts only weights > 5 kg (11.02 lbs)

Connex Devices with 1.7 Software: Accept and display weight, height, and BMI when transmitted from the scale (the Connex monitor does not calculate BMI). The monitor also allows for manual entry of weight, height, and/or BMI.

**Transfer to the EMR requires the EMR vendor to have an existing interface that accepts these parameters from Welch Allyn devices.
